On Friday 27th March 2015 from 9-4.30pm CAD will run it’s first Education Day of the Year.
Training Venue: Purcell House Conference Centre, All Hallows College, Gracepark Road, D9.
This one day drug education programme is designed to cater for ‘new to post’, volunteers and existing community workers. It will be an opportunity for participants to update their knowledge of drugs related matters.
The morning session by Dr. Des Corrigan (Government and EU Drugs Advisor) will cover current Trends in Drug Use including information on MDVP, ‘Bonsai Super Sleep’ and other designer benzo’s.
The Afternoon Session is a workshop with Briege Casey looking at Helping Relationships – Assessment, support planning & dealing with blocks
Biege’s presentation will be followed by Clients from Coolmine TC and parents from their Family Association all of whom will share their personal experiences with the group.
