On Friday 12th June 2015 from 9am to 4.30pm CAD will run it’s second Education Day of the year.
Training Venue: Purcell House Conference Centre, All Hallows College, Gracepark Road, D9.
This one day drug education programme is designed to cater for ‘new to post’, volunteers and existing community workers. It will be an opportunity for participants to update their knowledge of drugs related matters and up-skill with practical approaches for working with youths.
The morning session by Dr. Des Corrigan (Government and EU Drugs Advisor) will cover current Trends in Drug Use, drugs and their effects.
The Afternoon Session is a workshop exploring practical approaches when supporting troubled and troublesome teenagers with Philip James, Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adolescent Substance Use with the HSE Youth & Drug Alcohol Services
Philip’s presentation will be followed by individuals sharing their own experiences of substance misuse related issues.
